Incuhive welcomes first start-ups in council-funded business support scheme

A business start-up support scheme delivered by Incuhive has welcomed first flurry of new businesses.

Funded by New Forest District Council, the scheme launched in January for businesses trading for less than three years to receive free one-to-one advice and support.

Andy Pringle, Business Support Manager at Incuhive, said: “Getting the right advice in the early stages can dramatically increase your chances of success.

“We have started working with an interesting range of new businesses including biscuit makers and cosmetic surgery portals.

“It clearly shows the New Forest is full of entrepreneurial spirit!

Support for businesses joining the programme with Incuhive could include;

  • Developing and growing your business idea.
  • Where to find funding and grants.
  • Marketing and getting your business in front of potential customers.
  • Legal considerations when starting and running a business.

New Forest District Council funds the service and there is no charge to New Forest residents or businesses.

Councillor Michael Harris OBE, New Forest District Council Portfolio Holder for Business, High Streets and Tourism said: “There is no doubt that businesses need all the help that they can get at the moment, so it is timely that NFDC has launched an exciting new package of free support for start-ups and new businesses.”

Incuhive has 12 sites including New Milton and Brockenhurst that rent out office spaces, co-working spaces and virtual offices for local businesses.

Across the venues, Incuhive hosts networking events and training seminars and has supported thousands of business start-ups.
