Experience Hampshire’s top 5 things to do in the New Forest

New Forest Business News spoke to a new booking platform for the county, Experience Hampshire, which shared its favourite New Forest summer activities.

The New Forest has been named the best national park in Europe and the tenth best in the world outshining natural wonders including the Grand Canyon.

TripAdvisor described the “welcoming” atmosphere and “scenic views” make the Hampshire region as a special place to visit.

So here are Experience Hampshire’s top five things to do in the area…

Sunrise rib boat experience

Start your day on a 2.5-hour private rib charter from Lymington watching the sun rise with up to 7 people. A private charter will take your group around the top western Solent hot spots including The Needles and Hurst Castle.

Leisurely guided cycle tour

A fun and relaxing leisurely cycle tour taking in beautiful areas of the New Forest escorted by a certified mountain guide. Ideal for individuals, families or small groups of up to 8 people in private tours or mixed groups.

The 11.8 mile cycle tour beginning in Brockenhurst lasts 1-2 hours and costs £30 per person.

Guided wildlife walk

Beginning at Lyndhurst’s iconic Bolton’s Bench this escorted walk follows panoramic views across the forest through Denny Inclosure and woodlands. The host will share the history of the New Forest and the part it played in Britain’s history, and local wildlife and wildflowers.

Founded by Roger Walker and David Collinson, Experience Hampshire brings a collection of small local businesses to visitors and residents of the county.
