New Forest business awards open for nominations

The 2022 Brilliance in Business Awards opened for nominations this week at a launch event hosted by Balmer Lawn Hotel.

There are 17 award categories in its 17th year organised by the New Forest Business Partnership to celebrate local businesses demonstrating outstanding achievement.

Matthew Lawson, Chairman of the New Forest Business Partnership, said: “This very special event is about commemorating the successes of local businesses, recognising their achievements, and celebrating what they have accomplished over the past two years. 

“We look forward to receiving a record number of entries this year and have added new categories to give all local businesses the opportunity to apply.”

The award categories are: 

  • The Totton College Award for Training and Development
  • The Hampshire County Council Award for Contribution to the Community
  • The Solent University Award for Innovation
  • The New Forest Marque Award for Food and Drink
  • The Balmer Lawn Hotel Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Visitor Economy
  • The HSBC UK Award for Entrepreneur of the Year
  • The New Forest Enterprise Centre Award for Best New Business
  • The New Forest Business Partnership Award for Outstanding Customer Care
  • The Southampton Business School Award for Young Person in Business
  • The New Forest National Park Authority Award for Sustainable Business of the Year
  • The Award for Health and Wellbeing
  • The New Forest District Council Award for Best New Forest Micro Business
  • The GetSet Solent Award for Business GrowthThe Scott Bailey Award for Professional Services
  • The New Milton Advertiser and Lymington Times Award for Not For Profit Organisation of the Year
  • The Simpson Hilder Associates Award for Personal Achievement
  • The Award for Apprentice of the Year
  • The Escape Yachting Award for Marine and Maritime
  • Business of the year sponsored by Solent Local Enterprise Partnership

Nominations close on 1st October and the award ceremony is on 1st December at Brockenhurst College.
