Buckland Granaries in Lymington is among seven sites nominated for the Solent Quality Place People’s Choice Awards 2022.
The award seeks to highlight developments that contribute to improving the economic, social, cultural and environmental life of those living, working, learning and relaxing in the Solent region.
The Buckland Granaries development consists of 12 custom-designed family homes celebrated for their sensitivity to the site’s agricultural past reflecting the layout of the original barns and sheds.
Due to Queen Elizabeth II’s commemorations, public voting for the award has been extended until 03 October 2022.
Local authorities, architects and businesses entered around 20 schemes into this year’s architecture and public space design awards run by Partnership for South Hampshire (PfSH) recognising beautiful and thoughtfully designed spaces across the Solent region.
Cllr Sean Woodward, Chairman of the Partnership for South Hampshire, said: “Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and the Solent area are wonderful places to live, and this category of the Solent Quality Award is all about letting the people who live and work in these places and spaces choose the best design and place which most inspires them.”
